Our story begins with the longstanding values of Camp Solomon Schechter, which has served the Pacific Northwest since 1954, instilling integrity, derech eretz (respect), and tikkun olam (repairing the world). Today, Stampfer Retreat Center opens those same opportunities for relaxation, recreation, and exhilaration to groups and individuals throughout the year.
Because we operate as a nonprofit, every rental and event at Stampfer helps support Camp Solomon Schechter – keeping the focus on community, stewardship, and meaningful experience, rather than profit.
Due to our unique non-profit status, we’re only able to rent our facilities to governments, non-profit organizations, tribes, schools, and religious events (such as weddings, church camps, and bar/bat mitzvahs).
Please note: Camp Solomon Schechter operates an 8-week summer camp program and does not rent the facility from mid-June through mid-August.
